Today, Friday 29th January, marks the anniversary since the first Covid-19 patients were admitted into hospital so I gather from the News this evening. I think that all of the people who work in the NHS deserve our huge and grateful thanks for all that you have done this year. It is not just the front-line staff who we should thank. We should acknowledge that they also put themselves at risk of catching this potentially deadly disease, but everyone else as I think the whole system has been under pressure. This includes cleaners, laundry people, porters, catering staff, secretaries and all those who rarely get singled out and thanked. So thank you everybody.
