If you haven't seen this already, in a bold move the club has made tickets for u14s completely free (including a ticket for an accompanying adult)! This is a link to yesterday's Gazette article (embedded link doesn't seem to want to work) - www.gazette-news.co.uk/sport/football/23638868.wivenhoe-offering-free-child-adult-season-tickets-home-games/I'm only a fan so can take no credit, but I think it's a brilliant initiative designed to help combat the cost of living crisis and make sure that the game remains accessible. "With the cost of living and everything going up, it's important to have people still coming to the club and having that experience of non-league football and football in general. For some parents, going to watch a higher-league team is going to be beyond them now." Mo Osman, Wivenhoe Town FC Chairman
Please do spread the word.... and come along! This is just the start of the Dragons' efforts to raise the profile of the club and the facilities (protected for the community under the management of a Charitable Trust). This is our asset and something that we can all share and take pride in. There are also major plans afoot to improve the stadium, grounds and clubhouse to better serve the town as it continues to thrive. Hope to see you up there!!
