Any of you who like to walk the paths by the old quarry between the Cross and Keelars lane will know that the lovely stretch of path enclosed by hedges between the quarry road and Keelars Lane has been closed to flooding, caused by "engineering work" at the quarry site, for nearly two years.
Despite several notices from Essex County Council advertising the "temporary" closure, the move has now been made to close it permanently. This relieves the landowner (Tarmac, I suppose) from the previously advertised duty to restore the path. The replacement path takes us on to the quarry road and loses the most pleasant part of that whole area of paths. If anyone wants to make an objection, we have only until this Thursday (9 February 2023), and only a postal address in Chelmsford -- no electronic address -- has been provided.
And if I've done this properly, below should be an image of the path as it looked in September 2020. bmw 335i sedan 0 60
