Anyone else worried about potential tyre/wheel damage from the very deep and sharp edged pot holes along the edges of the road leading from the B1027 crossroads by the football ground, to the A133 (possibly an extension of Elmstead Road). The road is barely wide enough for two vehicles, often causing passing cars to stray off the edge of the tarmac, and into one of the many potholes, or worse, drivers may avoid pulling over and potentially clash with on-coming vehicles. I’ve had quite a few near misses avoiding large vans and lorries coming from the opposite direction.

Yes, I avoid using that stretch of road, especially at night

Fingers crossed that when the long awaited fuel and time saving road to the A120 is built improvements will be made to this stretch too. 🤞

Update from Mark: I will raise the issue. This may change in the longer term with development up there but in the short and medium term I can push for a widening but it will be more tricky. I will start with the fact it is simply dangerous and requires work, just another foot would enable safer passing along there.
