The Nottage Summer opening has been postponed, due to the changes in Covid regulations. its doors will now open again on the weekend of 24/25 July with exhibitions by Wendy Fransella and Amanda Sanders. Colin Smith will be exhibiting his work from 28 August to 5 September. For the weekend of 11/12 September it’s the work of Annie Bielecka and Elin Bielecka, and the final exhibition will be over 17/18/19 September, when Jane Watson’s work will be on show.
The Nottage will be open every weekend and Bank Holiday from 1300 to 1600 until 19 September. There are some new displays of Wivenhoe’s maritime history to see, and the extensive library of nautical books are available to borrow. We have also set up a large secondhand book sale of old and new nautical books from our extensive collections and donations, plus books on many others topics, fiction and non-fiction. So please pop in for a look around the museum and art exhibitions, plus a browse of the book sale. Entry is free to the Nottage.
