...where are the bells?
A quiet Sunday morning has left us wondering when the bellringing might be able to restart safely?
We have missed hearing them.

Adrian, the answer is tonight.
After fifteen months of silence, church bells will soon be heard over Wivenhoe and its environs. The bellringers are having a practice for the first time on Wednesday 16th June at 8.00pm for about 45 minutes and the same on the following week. This is to enable them to have a bit of practice ready for a first wedding of 2021 on Saturday 26th June. Thereafter they will ring for the first service to be held at St Mary’s on Sunday 27th June.
Adrienne Wood, Belltower Captain said: "We will be fully Covid compliant with guidance issued by HM Government, the Central Council of Church Bell Ringers, and of course, the church authorities.”
Adrian and All, I hope you enjoy the sounds of the bells again.
