This morning I received a mailshot on behalf of a mobile app “Nextdoor”. The letter was “addressed” from a named person (AC) in Anglesea Road starting Hi to Neighbours in my own street. The invitation to join the app gave a validation code that expires in 7 days. I’d be interested in any views from those who know anything about “Nextdoor” this is what I have found so far. Global organisation. They use the US form of "neighbor" on the UK help data. Where neighbourhoods happen — and connections are made
Nextdoor connects neighbours to each other — and to everything nearby: Local businesses, services, news updates, recommendations and stuff for sale from the people down the block.
Building connections in the real world is a universal human need. That truth, and the reality that neighbourhoods are among the most important communities in our lives, have been guiding principles for Nextdoor since the beginning.
